Slow Cooker Two- Sauce Pasta is a fast and easy one pot (crock pot) meal your family will love! This easy slow cooker pasta dish is made with 4 ingredients: pasta, Alfredo sauce, Marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese! It is the perfect meal for busy nights and is ready in a few hours in your slow cooker!
2 jars (15 oz. each)Alfredo Sauce*I prefer Bertolli - not getting paid to say that
2jars (24 oz. each)Marinara Sauce *I LOVE Kroger's Marinara Sauce - not getting paid to say that
1lb. (1 box)Penne Pasta, or pasta of your choice*DO NOT COOK THE PASTA
2cupsshredded mozzarella cheese, divided in half
Instructions
Pour your 2 jars of Alfredo Sauce and 2 jars of Marinara Sauce into your slow cooker. Stir the sauces together.
Add in half of your grated/shredded Mozzarella Cheese (1 cup). Stir the cheese into the sauce.
Add your UNCOOKED PASTA into the sauce. Stir it together.
Cook your pasta on low for about 2-3 hours. Check it at the 2 hour mark. Mine usually is perfectly done in 2 1/2 hours. You can also cook it on high for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, check it at the hour mark.
Every now and then I will stir my pasta so the sides don't burn and so the pasta on the outside doesn't burn and stick to the slow cooker! This is optional, I just know if I don't stir mine occasionally (make sure to scrape along the sides of the slow cooker when stirring) my pasta sticks to the side.
The last 5-10 minutes of cooking time, add the remaining Mozzarella Cheese. Let it melt on the pasta.
When the pasta is done to your liking, serve and enjoy!
Notes
You can use any brand of pasta sauces that you like. I love Bertolli Alfredo and Kroger's Marinara Sauce (I am not getting paid to promote the sauces). You can add meat or veggies to this dish. If adding meat, cook it before adding it to the dish. Some suggestions are: chicken, ground beef, sausage or turkey. You can add fresh veggies to this pasta dish. Just add them the last 10 minutes or so of cooking time so they don't get overcooked and soggy. You can add squash, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, mushrooms, or anything else you may like!
