Place ribs in slow cooker and pour soda of your choice over the meat, making sure it is mostly covered. If you are using a smaller slow cooker you may not need all of the soda.
Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
At the end of cooking, pour out most of the soda (leaving just a little bit in the bottom of the slow cooker) and add in half of your bottle of BBQ sauce or more as desired. Let the ribs cook for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the BBQ sauce is heated through.
You can add more BBQ sauce as needed to each serving if desired.
