Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce is delicious and easy to make! The sauce comes together in minutes and will make the perfect pasta dish your entire family will love!
I am a huge fan of pasta! There is just something about tender pasta covered in a creamy (sometimes meaty) delicious sauce! It is my favorite comfort food and I could eat it 7 days a week!
I have a few different spaghetti sauces I make and they are all pretty easy…but they all have crushed or diced tomatoes! And one of my boys will NOT touch it if there are tomato chunks! So I was messing around trying to come up with an even easier spaghetti sauce recipe and I nailed it!
This is a smooth and robust spaghetti sauce that even the pickiest eater will like! It is a basic spaghetti sauce recipe.
You can easily add some browned ground beef, cooked sausage, meatballs, grilled chicken, cooked ground turkey, or fresh veggies and serve the sauce over your pasta of choice!
At my house we have different requests! One likes meatballs and one likes a meat sauce! So I always add meatballs and browned ground beef together so everyone is happy!
This sauce really is versatile and will be your new go-to recipe (and you know exactly what’s in it!). It is perfect for cooked pasta, chicken parmesan, meatball subs, ravioli, lasagna, or baked ziti…the possibilities are endless!
TIPS FOR HEATING
Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce is delicious and easy to make! This sauce heats in minutes. You can heat it stovetop or in a crockpot.
I always brown my meat before adding it. Frozen meatballs are the exception, as well as veggies. I don’t ever cook frozen meatballs ahead of time, I just throw them in and let them thaw and heat as the sauce warms up.
If heating in a crockpot, I mix the sauce right up in the crockpot, then add any cooked meat. It only needs a few hours on low to heat. Frozen meatballs work great in the crockpot also! I love making the sauce then letting it heat in my crockpot if I have to take the boys to football or basketball practice. Then when we get home it is ready to go.
I always cook and drain my pasta well before we eat. I put it in a zip top bag and put in the fridge until we are ready to eat. It is so easy to heat up if it is already cooked. When I am ready to eat, I just put the cooked pasta in a strainer and run hot water over it. The hot sauce will help warm it up too.
