Simple Ingredients for Butter Ranch Pretzels

When I say this is an easy recipe for snacking, it is super simple! These ranch pretzels with butter are the perfect salty snack! The butter and salty seasoning sticks to the pretzels as they bake and you end up with super savory/salty and perfect-for-snacking pretzels!

You will need butter, a little canola (vegetable oil works too), ranch seasoning mix, seasoned salt, onion powder and your favorite pretzels. You can use any type of pretzels. We have used pretzel sticks, mini pretzels, snaps and even the pretzels that are in shapes for the holidays. They are all great options and turn out great!

Making Butter Ranch Pretzels

Making Butter Ranch Pretzels take minutes to make, but they need to bake in the oven for a bit to get the butter and salty seasoning to stick to the pretzels.

NOTE: This recipe makes very ranchy, salty and savory pretzels! We are all about the salty flavors at our house. If super salty and savory aren’t your thing, you can half the seasoning recipe and they will end up a bit more on the mild side in regards to the saltiness.

To make the pretzels, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. I use my half sheet pan and it is perfect. The pretzels will not be in a single layer on the pan. Don’t worry. You will give them a mix half way through baking!

In a small bowl or a glass measuring cup, melt your butter. Then, add the oil and seasonings and whisk/stir it together. If you are worried about the saltiness, start with half of the ingredients, give it a taste and go from there. Add a little more, or add the rest of the seasonings.

After you have mixed the seasonings together with the butter and oil add your pretzels to a large zip top bag. Then pour your butter ranch seasoning over the pretzels. Seal the bag and toss the pretzels around in the bag making sure they are evenly covered.

You will notice the butter ranch seasoning will settle in the corners of the bag. Keep mixing and shaking the bag to make sure they are all covered.

Baking the Butter Ranch Pretzels

Your oven will need to be preheated to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

After the ranch pretzels with butter are evenly covered, pour them on to your parchment paper covered sheet pan. Evenly spread them out so they are covering the pan and are evenly spread out. They will not be in a single layer on the pan and that is ok. You will give them a mix/toss half way through baking.

Put your pan of butter ranch pretzels in the oven and set your timer for about 8 minutes. Then, using a spatula toss the pretzels around to try and get them evenly mixed so they can finish baking. Bake an additional 8-10 minutes and take them out of the oven.
