Family Friendly Frozen Pina Coladas

If you love coconut and pineapple then this frozen drink is for you! This Frozen Pina Colada is family friendly since it is non-alcoholic, but it does not disappoint. It has a sweet pineapple, creamy coconut flavor that will have you wishing you were on a beach or at least sitting by a pool soaking up the sun! Make it for a fun family party, a relaxing night at home, or just because!

This Pina Colada drink is easy to make, and only has 5 ingredients and ice. Put it all in your blender, mix it up and you ready to enjoy! It is so easy but so yummy!

You will need pineapple juice, vanilla, sugar, cream of coconut, and heavy cream or whipped cream in the can. I always go for what is easy and we always have the canned whipped cream (for that dang Pie Face game), so I use the canned whipped cream (plus it’s fun to squirt out and I always feel fancy trying to make it into the perfect swirl!) I love the sweetness the canned whipped topping gives the frozen drink but heavy whipped cream works great too.

If you have made my Pina Colada Fruit Dip, you know what Cream of Coconut is, and you will know just how amazingly delicious it is! It is perfect in everyway and makes you wish you were sitting on a beach soaking up the sun. If you don’t know what Cream of Coconut is (see the photo below), you can find it on the mixed drinks aisle where they carry margarita mix and pina colada mixers. You can also buy it in a can, but it isn’t quite as thick and creamy as the Cream of Coconut that is made for mixed drinks. You can find canned Cream of Coconut usually by the Ethnic Foods. I use the Cream of Coconut made for drinks (and dips and anything else your sweet tooth can imagine) and it has the exact sweet coconut flavor that a Pina Colada needs!

Add your pineapple juice (you can buy it bottled, canned or drain the juice from canned pineapple), heavy Whipped cream, Cream of Coconut, vanilla and sugar to your blender. Add your ice. Blend until smooth and creamy and serve!

I know you will enjoy this one and your family or guests will love it (and will want seconds so you better make a double batch)!

Hope you enjoy!

Notes

This recipe will serve anywhere from 6-8 people depending on serving size and how much ice you use (which will determine the thickness of the drink as well).
You can adjust the flavors to your liking with more or less pineapple juice and cream of coconut.
I use the canned Heavy Cream (whipped topping) because I like the sweeter flavor it has over Heavy Whipping Cream.  If you use Heavy Whipping Cream you may want to adjust the flavors.  My kids love the canned Whipped Cream because they love to top their Pina Colada with a little Whipped Topping!
