Fast and Easy Coleslaw

I love coleslaw as a side, but I really love it on a pulled pork (on the smoker) sandwich or using the Soda Pop Slow Cooker Pulled Pork. This coleslaw comes together in 5 minutes and is packed with flavor! It is the perfect side dish for your summer BBQs!

Coleslaw Ingredients

Did I mention that this recipe comes together in minutes? The ingredient are simple but I am betting you have everything on hand, except maybe the bag of coleslaw!

The ingredients are so basic but make this easy homemade coleslaw so yummy!

You will need a bag of coleslaw. This is found by the bags of lettuce and bagged salads in the produce section of your grocery store.

It usually will have the shredded cabbage, slivered carrots (matchstick carrots) and maybe some shredded red cabbage (it just depends on the brand).

Take out any large pieces of cabbage- nobody wants that!

For the dressing you need: mayonnaise (full fat, not Miracle Whip), white sugar, cider vinegar (or apple cider vinegar), lemon juice, onion salt, kosher salt and black pepper! That is it!

Making Easy Coleslaw

I told you this recipe takes 5 minutes, and it really is that fast!

Dump the bagged coleslaw mix in a large bowl.

Then mix up your dressing ingredients in a smaller bowl or in a glass measuring cup. Give it a good whisk and adjust the seasonings to your liking.

Then just pour the dressing over the cabbage mix in the bowl and give it a good toss/mix.

NOTE: The dressing will settle at the bottom of the bowl as it sits, so give it a toss again to redistribute the dressing as needed!

What to Eat with your Coleslaw

I LOVE coleslaw on pulled pork sandwiches. It adds a bit of crunch and fresh flavor to the pulled pork that is perfection with the BBQ sauce and meat.

This Coleslaw is so good on its own as a salad or side dish and it is perfect for picnics, BBQs, pool parties and game day.

You can store any leftovers in the fridge for a day or two, after that it will become a bit soggy and not as tasty! Just give it a good stir the next day before eating it again!
