S’mores Marshmallow Treats will be your new favorite treat! S’mores will always and forever be a treat that is summer! It’s everything summer is- hot days, cooler nights, endless carefree days and just fun! Summer days and nights are my most favorite….it’s the the thing that gets me through the hard winter months and monotony of school and schedules and homework! And what better treat for summer than to have two delicious treats collide! Marshmallow Rice Krispie treats, minus the Rice Krispies and with Golden Graham S’mores cereal instead! S’mores Marshmallow Treats are the perfect summer treat and I am in love!
If you’ve never heard of this S’mores cereal, you’re not alone! I hadn’t either until recently. I just happened upon this delicious s’mores cereal strolling through Walmart enjoying my kid-free shopping trip. My oldest loves good ol’ healthy Reese’s cereal (ok, not healthy but sometimes I just don’t care-don’t judge), and as I was walking down the cereal aisle I saw it! The most magnificent, most delicious, most genius cereal I’ve ever seen! The best campfire treat of all time (s’mores) in cereal form!!! I felt like I had hit the jackpot! Cereal and s’mores – what could be more perfect? Now I don’t know if this a seasonal cereal or if it’s a new cereal. For all I know it’s been around for the last 5 years and I’ve just never noticed it! But I noticed it that day and I was feeling like I champ!
I brought the cereal home, expecting excitement and cheers of joy because I had found this perfect cereal. And I got nothing but a thanks mom! (Which I’m grateful for- my oldest isn’t one to show a lot of emotion). And then the cereal sat, unopened for 2 weeks! Clearly, my oldest didn’t have the same feelings as I did over this freaking fabulous cereal that I thought would make me mom of the year!
So I hijacked his cereal and thought I’d try to make Rice Krispie treats (sans the Rice Krispies) using the s’mores cereal instead!
The results were divine! S’mores marshmallow treats were perfection! Golden Grahams, the little chocolatey cereal balls, with the tiny marshmallow cereal things…. all mixed in with melty marshmallow cream and some mini marshmallows! It was delicious!!!
Now full disclosure: They don’t stick together like your typical rice krispy treats. The sizes of all the cereal pieces are different, so sticking together in tight little squares after you cut them like a normal rice krispy treats probably won’t happen until they have set for a while! But they are soft and gooey and oh so marshmallowy with all of the graham cracker and chocolate taste you get with s’mores!
S’mores Marshmallow Treats are the perfect summer treat! They are absolutely perfect for camping trips, BBQs, family parties, picnics, pool parties or just when you want a sweet treat!

S’mores Marshmallow Treats
Ingredients
- 9 cups Honey Maid S'mores cereal
- 2 (7 oz.) marshmallow cream
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1 cup mini marshmallow
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the marshmallow cream and stir into the butter until fully melted together. Remove from heat.
- Add in 1 cup mini marshmallows to the melted marshmallow cream. (They may not melt and that is ok).
- Add in cereal and stir until fully incorporated.
- Press into a greased 9×13 pan.
- Let them sit for a little while to cool, then cut into squares and enjoy!
