Recipe Basics

This recipe is nothing earth shattering, but it is so yummy and a staple in my kitchen! I always have it on hand because it is so dang good! I am sure you have had some sort of version of this many times- if you haven’t then you are missing out! So here is my version of a delicious Green Salsa Ranch!

It is made with a packet of Ranch DIP mix (not Ranch Dressing mix), mayonnaise, buttermilk, bottled green salsa, fresh cilantro and fresh lime juice!

Below if the green salsa I love and use.

Just blend it up in your blender or food processor and serve it up! It makes the perfect ranch dressing made with green salsa!

Use this Green Ranch Salsa to make a delicious salad or burrito, using my Copycat Cafe Rio Chicken, or Slow Cooker Shredded Mexican Chicken, and some tasty Cilantro Lime Rice.

Servings: 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Ranch DIP Mix (not the dressing mix) ignore the instructions on the ranch dip mix
  • 1 cup mayo
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup mild Green salsa I love Herdez or La Victoria
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, rough chopped
  • 1 small lime, juiced use half at first if you are not a lime lover and adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Put all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Notes

Make sure you use the Ranch Dip Mix, not the Ranch Dressing packet mix.
We love to use this Green Salsa Ranch Dressing as a dip with our  Chicken and Cream Cheese Rolled Tacos!
For the Green Salsa I love Herdez brand or La Victoria (mild).

Taste great! Reminds me of Red Robins’s Baja Ranch dip but a little different in a good way! Took the recommendation and did half of the lime juice and it’s perfect!
