What you Need To Make your Protein Balls

Six ingredients is all you need to make these protein balls. Oatmeal, ground flaxseed, peanut butter, chocolate chips, honey and vanilla! The ingredients can be found at any store! In fact, most of these ingredients you probably have already in your kitchen!

The Ground Flaxseed

A quick note on ground flaxseed. If you are not familiar with it you may not know where to find it. Typically, in my grocery store it is with the baking products right by the flour. You of course can always order it online at amazon too!

This is what my package of Ground Flaxseed looks like.

What Kind of Oatmeal to Use

You can use Old Fashioned Oats or Quick Oats. USE DRY OATMEAL-NOT COOKED! I use quick oats because I always have them on hand but either works great.

Quick oats may get softer faster if you are storing your no bake protein energy balls in the fridge but they do not taste any different.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chips

The peanut butter and chocolate chips for your No Bake Protein Energy Bites can be whatever you like best!

If you want to add in crunchy peanut butter for a bit of a crunch, then use it! If creamy is your thing, use creamy. I prefer creamy peanut butter, but crunchy can work too!

The same goes for the chocolate chips. If you prefer milk chocolate over semi-sweet then add milk chocolate chips instead of the semi-sweet! You make them to your liking! These Peanut Butter Protein balls are easy to customize to your likes.

Making the No Bake Protein Energy Bites

To make these protein bites you will just add all of the ingredients to a bowl.

It will be sticky and hard to stir at first with the honey. Stir it until it is fully mixed.

Next take about a heaping tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into the perfect Protein Bite!

Keep rolling the mixture into balls until it is all gone.

Storing Protein Energy Bites

Storing your no bake energy bites is easy. They will store great in an air tight container in your fridge for about 5 days. You can also freeze them and let them sit out for a bit to soften before you bite into them.

They pack perfectly in lunches for kids and are great to have on hand for an after school snack or a snack for days that are filled with sports.

Hope you enjoy these No bake Protein Energy Balls!
