Spooky Halloween Popcorn is sweet and spooky! The perfect treat for all your little trick or treaters and for your Halloween parties!
Popcorn is the perfect treat for any occasion! Add some chocolate drizzle and fun and festive sprinkles and you have the perfect party popcorn!
What kind of popcorn can you use for Spooky Halloween Popcorn
You can air pop some popcorn or pop a bag of your favorite microwave popcorn. If you like it butter and salty, choose a microwave popcorn that has butter and salt.
I air pop my popcorn so it is not overly salty. You need about 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels for this recipe. This is about the same amount of popcorn you get out of one bag of microwave popcorn.
Spooky Halloween Popcorn Chocolate Drizzle
The chocolate drizzle is easy to make! It can be made in 5 minutes and is sweet and the compliments the savory taste of the popcorn.
I use milk chocolate for this Spooky Halloween Popcorn. The dark color of the milk chocolate is perfect for Halloween! You can easily use white chocolate chips or any other flavor you like.
You only need butter, corn syrup, and your chocolate chips. Put it all in a saucepan and melt it together over medium heat, whisking/stirring it constantly.
This chocolate drizzle doesn’t harden up like it would if you just melted chocolate chips. Chocolate chips will harden as they cool; they are still good but the corn syrup and butter for this drizzle keep it a bit softer which I love. That being said, if you just want to melt plain chocolate chips, go for it, but I promise my drizzle is better!
Making your Spooky Halloween Popcorn
Cover a sheet with some parchment paper. Spread your popped popcorn out in an even layer on the sheet pan. This will make it easy for you to make sure the chocolate drizzle is evenly spread on the popcorn.
Once your chocolate drizzle is made, drizzle it over top of the popcorn on the baking sheet. Make sure it is evenly spread. You will need to work fast because the chocolate drizzle will start to thicken.
Last thing to do is add your sprinkles and M&Ms.
Now you can sit back and enjoy your spooky treat!
